MARKETING AND RECRUITING
The Gender Parity Initiative's marketing and recruiting campaigns focus on dispelling common stereotypes and misconceptions about engineers as well as introducing the many career paths available to those with engineering degrees. Specific programs include:
- A video for parents and daughters highlighting altruistic opportunities in engineering and female engineers in a variety of fields, such as law and medicine. The video will also describe the programs and opportunities in the School of Engineering at SMU.
- A classroom poster series showcasing engineering all around us. Click

- A workshop for guidance counselors and teachers providing them with the information
and tools necessary to open doors of opportunity in engineering
to female students.
- Marketing engineering as the "first degree" to prepare for graduate, law, medical, and business school.
